FAQs

Q:  Do you have a nursery?

A: Yes.  At all of our worship services we provide a nursery for young children.

Q: What do I wear if I want to come?

A: We are informal and modest.  You don’t have to wear anything fancy.  But we do ask that you be modest.

Q: When are your services?

A: Right now we have one Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 AM. That rarely changes during the year.  Just count on 10:30.

Q: Do you have Sunday School?

A:  Yes.  We have Sunday School for all ages, including two adult classes.  The classes start at 9:30 AM every Sunday morning.  Traditionally we take a break for the summer with the children’s classes.

Q: Do I have to be a Baptist to attend your church?

A: No.  In fact very few of the people attending First Baptist Church would identify themselves as Baptist.  We are affiliated with a Baptist denomination but we operate like a community church.

Q: Can I come if I’m divorced?

A: Yes.  You would find us a very loving congregation where you can heal and grow.

Q: How is a Baptist church different from the other kinds of churches in town?

A: There’s not enough room here to answer that one fully but Baptists are usually all about the Bible and not about creeds.  There’s more to say but that’s a start.

Q: How do I become a member of your church?

A: Make an appointment with the pastor.  He would be happy to answer your questions.

Q: What do you believe as a church?

A: Click here to get to the statement of faith.
